Since we're on the subject.....

This was shot by Annie Leibovitz for Vogue in December of 2005. Leibovitz is currently the only female photographer for Vogue. In fact, Vogue has a long standing legacy of male photographer...... and Leibovitz is not even considered a fashion photographer! She mostly photographs celebrities, hence the shoot above. She is featured in Vogue for these types of shoots and boy does she deliver. Let's not forget her little stunt in 2008 when she asked the Queen of England to remove her crown so she could take her portrait :)

She was born in 1949 and began taking photo classes in San Francisco. It was there where she approached the editor in Chief, Jann Wenner, of the new magazine, Rolling Stone. She was given her first assignment where she photographed John Lennon. After that she became the chief photographer for Rolling Stone. She is also a frequent photographer for Vanity Fair and makes many appearances in Vogue.
