To all the gents out there.....
Last night, I was out with my man while he shopped for a couple of suits. We went to Men's Wearhouse. The suits were amazing and made a certain someone look delicious...... but that didn't stop my gasp for air when they announced the final price at the register! JESUS! OK, I get it, suits are an investment. They are meant to be worn on certain occasions and the quality pays for itself, but JESUS!
I have gone over many a times, my love of men's fashion. I admire them for their limited wardrobe that still inspires creativity. Nevertheless, I feel as though not only do men get the short end of the stick when it comes to clothing selection, but they have to suffer the extremely high prices for little quantity. In this case, I speak of Men in their twenties who don't necessarily lack in fashion sense, but it's not the first thing on their mind. Men are usually more attracted to electronics, Apple Products (eh hem), cars, etc. Fashion is aimed at Women. So when a man wants to produce a respectable and, dare I say, fashionable wardrobe, he has to pay out the nose. Then again, women who can access loads of clothes, who shop all the time, and buy some of the poorest quality clothing aren't investing the way men do. I guess that means clothing is more disposable to women? Not to be sexist here, but, regardless of my minor freak out at the price I heard last night, you get what you pay for, and the guys have it right. Invest in the good stuff. Invest in the pieces you'll wear for the rest of your life!
