This was the first collection I ever perused. I was 16 when this came out. I had just begun my "fashion study" as I love to call it, right before my Junior year of High School, when I started to put a major effort into my look. I was cutting out inspirations and I stumbled onto this look in an issue of Lucky Magazine. At the time I was very into the Mod Look and this was right up there with what I wanted. Short trench coats, black tights, and pointed flats!! *drools*
So I researched Marc Jacobs, with no idea I was about to stumble onto my favorite designer of all time. I was so entranced by his simple yet ground breaking collection. The Mod look was definitely apart of it, but he did a usual modern twist. And actually if you look closely at the outfits, allot of them mimic the style of teens and young adults today. Almost 7 years later and still rocking it with his collection.
Marc Jacobs, always ahead of the trends, with clothing that is wearable. Check him out. I have yet to be disappointed with his collections.
