Be a Man

I had stated earlier that I would explain my obsession with men's fashion....today would be a good day for that! Let's see......

Men have certain standards when they dress. Believe it or not they are apart of a double standard. haha. Anyway. Women are able to dress in any form they want, whereas men have to stick to said standards. If they stray anywhere besides the masculine side, ridicule is assured. This is where I feel bad for men. Nevertheless, there are some creative gents out there that can be associated as ground breaking and unique in their fashion. One of the reasons I dig street style is this sort of creativity is a common feature. One has to admire a man who can take his simple essentials of: a classic suit, jeans, loafers and a satchel and twist and turn it every way possible to create a look that is superfluous to gaze upon.
Personally, the items I just mentioned happen to be my favorite pieces to incorporate into my ensembles. Taking into consideration that my tall stature and forceful self can make a girl feel very much like a man, my equation for fashion is as follows: masculine pieces + a feminine touch= Tailored Female.
A woman who can dress in men's fashion is ballsy and a pistol. Nuff said.
That is the reason I love men's fashion. Women will copy anything trendy, but men's fashion is one thing they won't try. One thing I am guilty of: Women want to be seen as attractive. That is what we are taught. Our main purpose in life is to serve men. (God I sound like a feminist)
I stray away from certain outfits that take away from my femininity because I want to seem attractive. I never cut my hair short because of this reason. So, instead I take my inspiration from the clothing worn by men and hope I don't come off more masculine than I already feel.
