I am majorly craving a bomber jacket, preferably with faux fur on the collar. Talk about a jacket that can instantly pull an outfit together. I have a small shrunken leather jacket that I found at a thrift store in Laurel, MD in the kids section. It fit me like a glove and the short arms come off as a chic 3/4 sleeve!
Back to the Bomber jacket. I first started jonesing for one in 2005. I was thrifting with my friend Carla, in Maryland, and she found one! I'm not gonna lie, I was devastated that she found it before me, but what was I going to do? Talk her out of buying it so I could come back and get it later? It was a little over sized for her, nothing a good tailor couldn't fix, with multiple patches and a fur collar!!!!!!! Plus it was perfectly worn in.....mmmmmm

Since then I have been on the prowl, and have yet to find one. Didn't help that after finally seeing Top Gun in 2009, my craving took a stronger hold than before as the character of Charlie played by the lovely Kelly McGillis was sporting such a jacket. She topped off the magnificent jacket with her translucent readers, sleeveless silk white shirt and pencil skirt......I recently saw one on the Ninewest website even though they don't sell it. This will be my Fall and Winter essential if I can find the damn thing for under $50....
