With the song "Judas" by Lady Gaga, I was not too impressed. It's a very busy song; there's a lot going on. But the long wait for the video is over. Judas is out on Youtube, so everyone take a look. Just lately has the song grown on me; as in, when I hear through my headphones, I get really pumped, and the lyrics are actually pretty amazing. That's the Cat'lic in me, loving the story of Judas betraying Jesus especially when it's sung by one of my favorite artists. I really like the video and this is the first video done by her Haus of Gaga team. Lady Gaga seems to have returned to her perfect style after a slight absence in the "Born This Way" video. I think the video sheds a little more light on the song. It was the same way with "Alejandro"....the song that no one really cared about until the video came out. It's getting to see the visual aspect that makes the song interesting. I can't wait to see what she has in store for us on May 23rd!!!!!
Everyone check it out. Let me know what you think!
Go Gaga!

For me this video was important. Being raised religious and seeing all the biblical messages and references was important and impressive. I think the washing of the feet stuck out to me the most.
ReplyDeleteI adored her fashion sense in this. I've never liked the 80's but I will say this; Lady Gaga brings all the cool things about the 80's to the light. I'm excited to say that I now want to rock the 80's. So much fun fashion with Gaga :)
I completely agree with you on the fashion front. 80's + Biker + Grunge = Perfection
ReplyDeleteIt worked for the video.
I actually wanted to talk about the ending. First things first, she is playing Mary Magdalene. She gets stoned at the end. That part grabbed me. I am most curious about Mary now. I remembered her as the Prostitute that Jesus forgave, and after that, she washed his feet with her hair, and bacame a disciple of his. There seems to be great intimacy toward the Jesus character in the video, perhaps hinting at the theory of Mary being the wife of Jesus...
