Tokyo Street Style

Boy what I wouldn't give to live in Tokyo for a year!! The constant inspiration of pretty much every person there would cause me to dress say like....

Nah...hahaha I'm kidding. But seriously these kids know how to go for the extreme!! I have been admiring this type of fashion since Gwen Stefani introduced the world to Harajuku girls. This is an absolute state of mind. It probably helps to live in a place where the most "out there" fashion is embraced and admired by the world! Street Style is where most fashion designers get their ideas anyway; that would be the act of recycling old ideas and making them seem fresh and appealing. I get so many ideas from these risk takers. The featured fashionistas look as though they can take any piece they want and make a most spectacular and flashy outfit! Rules go out the window and all that matters is the show; the acting out on fashion. How wonderful! It seems that too many rules apply here in the U.S. If someone were dressed like the girl above, she would be shunned from society.

I will compare Tokyo Street Style to Runway shows: You check it out for ideas, knowing full well you would never wear the ensemble being shown in front of you, but it lights the fires of creativity, and you somehow make it your own. Time to light those fires!!!
