I always find it to be an appropriate time to think about what I shall add to my wardrobe. Certainly, we have all had that moment: a closet full of clothes and NOTHING TO WEAR! That was me on Friday. Luckily, I have a GO TOO Jersey dress that always looks good. I need a vitamin. Hang on.
I was reading this article from Real Simple magazine about analyzing your wardrobe. Part of it was recognizing what is missing. It’s true that there are a few key pieces you need to have (always depending on your style) that can pull each outfit together. It’s the glue! You could have a closet full of tops with no classic pair of jeans to match them to. So what good does it do to have so many tops? I am in this rut, and I have attempted a list of clothing and styles that look good all the time. The ones that I need to invest in more, before I splurge on the misfit pieces.
-2 White tank tops
-Red Hoodie
-1 pair of loafers
-1 pair of red ballet flats
-2 mid-rise skinny pairs of jeans, preferably dark
-1 pair of skinny black pants
-¾ sleeve black shirt
-1 black tank top (throw out all faded black)
Simple, yes.
But my wardrobe has gone down the “I can’t wear you” Street. Time to switch directions!
