On the subject of purses..........

In the elicit fashion book that I keep all year round to collect and write about things I am obsessed with, I have a whole page of the most unconventional purses you ever saw!

I have never been the normal purse carrier. If one did carry such a thing, I'd feel like a putz. There is just something so conformist and generic about women's purses. First off, we are expected to carry them, they usually look the same and follow the same guidelines and they are expensive! Hmmmm.....

What does this girl do when it comes to carting my crap around? Sift through Thrift Stores' miscellaneous sections to usually find some the coolest bags to carry said crap around! The first item I ever found was a tackle box. Boy did that take me a while to find. It took about 10 thrift stores to find. I received mad compliments on it and that's how I knew the unconventional and I were meant to be :)

So, I shop for the odd purses. This is the one area of fashion where I am my most picky. If every girl finds one purse cute, I will probably find it repulsive. Menswear comes into play again since they always carry around sophisticated briefcases and messenger bags made of rich leather. I can't get enough of men's bags. Perhaps I love them the most because they aren't purses.
